Please feel free to take a look at these articles about desks written by Garry Auton for the Antique and Arts in NSW Magazine

We have since 1979 been the preeminent dealer in antique desks in Sydney. We have long had the best and most comprehensive range of quality antique desks, and as our name describes, has been our specialty. Although we have had good examples from all periods of European styles, we have, to a large degree, concentrated on products from Australia. Colonial cedar, Queensland maple, Kauri pine from the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, with tooled leather tops presented in restored and polished condition, have been our mainstay over the years. We have serviced both the commercial (particularly Phillips Street) and domestic needs, always paying particular attention to originality and patination. The variety of our desks include: Double Pedestal Partners Desks, Table Top Desks, Single Pedestal Desks, Bureaus, Davenports, Library tables, Roll Top desks, Cylinder Top Desks, Children's desks and Secretaire Abattants, and we endeavor to always have good examples of each of these types, although this can be restricted at times according to availability. We also advertise an in house restoration service, cabinet work, French polishing, tooled leather work, metal repairs and upholstery.
